Working closely with each client, we determine their expectations, the objectives of the project, identify potential problems, and establish methodology for the design and implementation of geographic data. We identify relevant existing data, determine its usefulness to the project and assign all appropriate tasks to each member of our versatile, capable staff.
Using Trimble centimeter-grade equipment and post-processing software in conjunction with ESRI’s ArcGIS software suite, Mercado’s GIS team collects accurately measured data in the field and creates high quality mapping products in one seamless workflow. We also feature a well-organized and skilled survey department for tasks which demand only the most accurately collected field data.
During the execution of each project we continuously perform data analysis to evaluate the results so that we may refine and create alternatives, if needed. Our team also carefully monitors the progress of each project and regularly provides status reports to clients and stakeholders. Mercado Consultants’ GIS department adheres to all Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) standards and specifications.
